BREAST CANCER TUMORS DESTROYED IN 11 DAYS

Some scientist have believed to destroy the Brest cancer tumors in Amsterdam that too without Chemo.Scientist in Europe seems to have found the cure for the breast cancer .

Professor Nigel Bundred held a conference in Amsterdam at European Breast Cancer conference and presented their research . He was there to reveal the effectiveness of the pair of  drug Herceptin and Lapatinib. This researched showed the combine effect of these two drugs  drugs in the breast cancer tumor treatment . This was the first time both of these drugs were combined for the treatment.





Bundreds's research team was funded by Cancer Research UK with the aim of using the two drugs together to combat a protein called HER2 which affects the growth and division of cancer cells. This protein is likely to return any other type of cancer.







 A total of 257 women with HER2 breast cancer were included in the trial. 130 of the women were put into one of two groups with some receiving
-some women received Herceptin
-others receaved Lapatinib.
Both group were treated for 11 days after diagnosis and surgery
The third group received no treatment.

RESULT OF THE TRIAL CONDUCTED
 7 out of those 66 women who received the combination of both the drugs had Zero  cancer cell remaining that too within two weeks  and an additional 11 women experienced a dramatically shrunken tumor.

0% change in cancer cell and 3% of the women saw reduction in tumor cell for those who received only Herceptin.
Therefore proving that if these two drugs are used separately then they are almost useless showing almost no or very less affect.
The only problem here is that Herceptin is only available for use along side chemotherapy or alone.
This research might change that for licensing.
