 What is Acidity?
-Our stomach is naturally habitual to produce gastric and hydrochloric acid (HCL) to help dijest and break down food. Whenever there is excessive production of these acid in the body which are triggered by various caused such as food, stress level and others ,  these excessive acid may move up from the stomach to your esophagus.

The stomach lining is designed to withstand a high acidic environment oh pH 1 to 3 but your esophagus is not designed for that ,therefore you may experience symptoms such as burning sensation in the chest when this pH drop below 4 . The esophagus is designed  for a neutral pH of 7.
